Mary Kippenberger and Peter were fantastic. What a great time we had being entertained by her and her husband.
If we are lucky enough to get the opportunity to go and visit her in Otane then that's where we will be heading.

Yesterday the Tuakana and Room 8 made a 3d models. We had to make our perfect Tokomaru Bay. Ana and I were painting. In our group team there was Drummond,Caitlin and Jarron.

yesterday at school the Tuakana came into our class. I don't kown while they came into our class. Koka Vickie was working with the Tuakana. We had to go back to our same old work we do everyday. We did a Handwriting card,Language card and write about a Memorable Moments. We also did a story about Aliens from outer space. I had finished all my work but not the story because Paige was annoying me.

Yesterday at school I did a plants work sheet. We had to stick the words in the right place.I worked with Wirihana. We got some in the wrong place. Wirihana told me to go up to koka Vickie so I did because I was finished my work sheet. I gat some words in the wrong place so I asked Logan if she could help me and I said thank you.

Yesterday I did my memorable moment. When I had finished I had to edit. I didn't think I had any mistakes but I did it was the word capture. While I waited I did my handwiting and language card. Koka Vickie called out to me. She gave me a b. That means blog.

Yesterday at school in the afternoon koka Stacy and koka Kylee were our techers. We played cranium. We got into our groups. It was cool. She had to ask us some questios from the cranium cards. We played capture the flag. B.J's team won. I was in his group

Yesterday at school I did reading with koka Vickie not just me Ana,Jarrod,Wirihana,Pagie and Bj. We read Shugg's octopus. The thing i lernt was contraction's and how to use apostrophe.

On Monday i went with Liam,Missy,baby,dad and mum to Gisborne. It was cool travelling at night because Liam was buzzing out at the 3 stars that he saw. We went to Mc Donalds when we first got there. Missy Liam and i went on the playgrund for a little while then we went back in the van. My little sister loved the street lights. We stayed at Cladette and Hemis. We had dinner and then unloaded the car.

Yesterday at school in the afternoon my class and room 5 did environment. We had our own groups. Koka Vickie went 1 2 3 4 5 6. I was with Ana Jarron and Drummond. We were group 4. We did up to 2 30. Then we had to clean up.

Yesterday 4 people had to go with matua Brian.
We were seeing if there were bolts for baby carseats and to see who was wearing a seat belt.
One lady got a six dollar fine.
She went to go to the shop to get some money and gave it to Matua Brain then went on through.
1 person had to go down one end and then the other. This is Tanaya andGrace doing blog.

Yesterday the documentary team worked with Dexter, there was Jayda,Llyria,Sidney and I.
Dexter was showing me how to use a video camera with a big tripod.
It was cool when Dexter was showing me how to film.

Yesterday the whole school had kapa haka.
We had it up in the library.
Our first song was Ma wai.
We stayed on that song all day.
We played games to but we played them when the day was alomst over.

Yesterday I went to the skate park.
When I got to the park there were heaps of people there.
Then a man came to the skate park.
He was doing a bunny hop and lifting his bike up high.
He had shoes that could clip on to his pedals and could lift his bike up to do a bunny hop.
Then the man went over the table top but he didn't make it over.

On Saturday I came to the school with my dad because my dad had to play rugby. When we got there I saw my cousin Moos playing on the playground.
Then I went to go and say hi to my nan in uncle Jason's van Moos and I went in to the clubroom's to play with Karly and Hine.
We asked them if they wanted to play tag and they said yes.
Then the rugby started.

Yesterday I went down to the skatepark because it was boring at home. I was only watching t.v. When I went down to the skatepark I saw Kahu,Uzzai and Beau. Uzzai and Beau if they were allowed to ride my bike and I said yes

Yesterday Missy and I went to the skate park. Missy and I were taking turns on my bike because she was teaching me how to go over the table top. I was doing it a different way but then I was doing it the real way. I was so happy when I went over the tabletop.

Yesterday I learnt how to do the maths cards with Llyria,Ana,Kathyn and Portarit.

This morning I had to do something about my riwai.
I had to put some dirt into my riwai bucket.
Then had to water my plant and measure it.

Yesterday the whole school travelled to Gisborne to go to the museum.
We were travelling on the bus.
Our bus driver was Matua Doug.
I was sitting at the back with Llyria, Briar,Ana,Paige and Kathryn.
When we got there I was excited.
Koka Jen and Koka Gale stuck us into groups.
I was in goup 1.
My favourite part was watching the Tamoko.

Yesterday the tuakana class came into our class for the whole day.We had to do activities.The activities were handwriting, spelling, memorable moments, maths, language and reading.I had finished all of the activities.Neha was another student who had finished everything too.Later after that we had to all go up to the library.We had to do a 3d model of Tokomaru Bay.We had to get into our groups.After we started our model.After that we had to talk with Koka Vickie and Hayden and Eia decided to do there own model.While we were talking with Koka about our model we had to pack up and go home.

Yestereday I had a cool day.The thing that made my day so cool was doing my proof reading work sheet.We had to write in our books.The book we had to use was our language book.The intructions were in ouir books.We had to write down the number or each question in our books.Next to each number you had to write down the correct form of any word which has been spelledd incorrectly.If a line contains no error, we could tick it.We had to find10 errors.Those were all the steps we had to follow.Some of the words that wer spelt wrong were Saturday, cousin, were, decided, stopped, beautiful, mountain, magician, disappear and great.They were spelt like this written Saterday, cuosin, where, desided, stoped, beatiful, mountin, magicin, disapear and grate.It was cool doing that activity.

Yesterday before lunch Jayda and I went on the computer to play matheletics.When we got onto mathelteics we had to sign in our uaername and password.As soon as I was logged on I clicked on 'Order numbers'.I had every activity perfect , and I only needed two more activities to complete my task.The bell rang so Jayda and I logged off and went to lunch.After lunch we were doing reading.In my reading group their is Jayda, cKodez, Rakaia, Jake and I.We were reading ' Making Puddles ' it is an activity story.It was all about water cycle.We done an activity about speechmarks.Then we had to pack up because it was time to go home.

Yesterday after lunch the Nga Teina and Taukana classes all went up to the library.The kaupapa we were doing was what would your perfect 3d model would be of Tokomaru Bay.We all got into our environment groups.We had to do a brainstorm.After the brainstorm we had to decide what our group name is, our group name is Hokowhit's.Some of our group ideas were a flying fox, green land,normal environment, rubbish free, houses, skart park and more.Then Koka Vickie let us go home early.

On Sunday at 11 o clock or 12 o clock Nanny Patty came to my house, to ask my mum if she wanted to help my Nan paint the piecart.The colours we painted it were light grey and dark grey.It took my Nan, Papa, Mum, Dad and I a long time to paint the piecart.As soon as we finished we had fish and chips for tea we got them from the fish shop.Then Mum, my Brother, Tanaya, Dad and I went home on the van.

Yeaterday before lunch the whole school went for our cross country run.We had to run in our age groups.We started near a huge tree and we had to be in line with Koka Sam.The 9 and 10 yr nold students had to wait until the 8, 7,6 and 5's were across the little river.Koka Sam said "on your marks get set go."We all started running.As soon as we crossed the river Koka Toni put her thumb up to let Koka Sam know to let the 11, 12 and 13's go.Kathryn, Logan and I ran all the way to school to have lunch.After we had something to eat we went to play padda tennis.When the bell rang the Teina class rushed to brush our teeth, do our nails and then go to the library to do our envirnment kaupapa.

Yesterday I had a great day.The best part of my day was doing my environment kaupapa.The group I was in was Makere, Hayden, Eia and Paige's group.The problem was that I had lost my kaupapa book so Koka Vickie gave me another one.The things we had to do in our kaupapa book was to cut our Learning Intention, Success Criteria, K.c, Date, What is your name and Puddeny Tame out.Then lay it out on the page.Then we had to show Koka Flora, she told us if we could glue.We had to change activity's so my group went to the computers.On the computers we had to do jellymuffin but first we had to make a new page.The bell rang so we cleaned up the library, we all went home.

Yesterday I had an awesome day.The best part of my day was doing jellymuffin.com.Well jellymuffin is a website where you can create your own title.The steps were to go to your own school wikispace to make a new page named your 3 first letters of your name and the word environment.Step 2 we had to log onto jellymuffin.com then click onto flash text glitter.Then we created a title.Step 3 was to embed tyhe jellymuffin title into your school wikispace.Just to let you know, Koka Vickie told us we did our environment kaupapa after lunch, with the Taukana class.

On Sunday or Saturday morning at 7:00 o clock.My Papa Mike and Uncle Honkey had a barbeque for breakfast.For breahfast we had smoked fish, salad, potatoe's, steak and crayfish.Then we found out that it was Papa Collin's birthday so we celebrate his birthday.Then people started to turn up that was Papa J.C, Uncle Ned, Aunty Amy, Aunty Margret and Wikitoria came for a feed.Then Caitlin and I went for a swim down at the beach.Then we all went to the pub for dinner.For dinner we had a steak meal.Then Caitlin and I went home to bed.

On Saturday the Hatea-A-Rangi Ngati Buzz and some of the Hatea-A-Rangi Bratz traveled to Gisborne on our white and green bus.We all travelled to the same place.We were travelling to the Gisborne netball courts to play our netball games.The Hatea-A-Rangi Ngati Buzz played two games.Our first game was against Ilminster Rimu we lost that game.I didn't know what the score was.Then our second game was against a blue and white team we won that game our score was 17-16 to us we won by one goal.It was cool winning our first netball game this year.Then we came back to Toko on the bus after we played our netball games.

Yesterday after lunch we played four or more games.We had to get into 4-6 groups.The games were cat and mouse, noughts and crosses, king's, queen and jack's and this other game but I don't know the name of the last game was.After that we had to pack away all the games because it was nearly home time.We had to sing Ma Wai twice then we were allowed to go home.After school I wanted to have netball training but there was none.We have netball trainings on Tuseday's and Thursday's, after school.Instead I went home on the bus and played with Kathryn.

Sunday it was mothers day it was a day about all our mothers.On mothers day my dad and I made my mum breakfast in bed.We made her a smoothie, bacon and eggs and toast.Then I gave her a little dessert it was jelly, friut and a peace of a banana cake.Then we went down to the club for a mothers day afternoon.Then I went to the playground to play with Paige, Jayda and Summerbreeze we played tag.

Kia ora everybody,We are now back in school.My first day was awesome because I was waiting to see all the teachers and my friends.My holidays were alright but I was looking forward to coming back to school for the whole term.My goal this term will be writing, langauge, reading and handwriting.

What I enjoyed learning about yesterday was when we were learning what the job of the sun and the roots were.We had to write down in our kaupapa book what the job of the sun and the roots were.Koka Vickie told us to do the job of the leaves too.Koka Vicki wrote the jobs of the leaves, roots and the sun up on the whiteboard most of the class copied the board.Everyone finished writing what we had to do.We had to get it checked off my Koka Vickie.When she finished checking it off you had to put your book into the kaupapa bin.When the bell rang Koka Vickie told us to put our chairs up and go home I took a banana home with me.

This morning Logan asked me if I would like to help her plant two tomato plants.We started to plant the tomatoe's in front of our classroom.The steps that we had to do was to dig a hole so we can put the tomato plants in.We covered it well and watered it.When Logan and I had finished planting tomatoe's Brodie and I took all the weeds out of our buckets and where we planted our tomatos.Then Breodie said that it looks nice and clean around our tomatoe's now without the weeds.After we took all the weeds out we threw them in the rubbish.When we finished putting the weeds in the rubbish we watered our tomatos and our riwai.Then the bell rang so we went into class.

On Saturday I helped my mum move all the things of ours from Amys house to our house.We had time to put everything away so when my dad got back from work it would not be a mess.When my dad got home it was clean and we were watching t.v in the sittingroom we were watching Ben 10 dvds.

Yesterday I learnt about more maths questions about multiplications, division and subtraction.We had to chose a partner to do maths questions with.I chose Ana she is a girl from my own class room.

Last Friday my class and I made a Ambroisa we were taught howto make Ambroisa.Koka Vicki Roroa put us into groups some to cut the bananas and applesand two people had to wipe the tables.Then Koka Vicki came around handing out bowls but she gave Neha, Hayden and I a bowl, a copping board and three knives.Then the people who were told to cut the apples and the bananas had to start cutting.

Yesterday the whole chass had to make a flow chart about our riwai.The first thing we had to do when we got our paper , was to do a two cm border.We had to do our title.We could write Growing my riwai or My riwai in a bucket or else we could write our own title.Next thing we had to do, were the steps on how we grew our riwai using pictures.When we had finished drawing the pictures we put arrows to show how each step went.When we finished , we had to write statements for each picture about what we did I wrote 6 statement.

Sunday it was mothers day it was a day about all our mothers.On mothers day my dad and I made my mum breakfast in bed.We made her a smoothie, bacon and eggs and toast.Then I gave her a little dessert it was jelly, friut and a peace of a banana cake.Then we went down to the club for a mothers day afternoon.Then I went to the playground to play with Paige, Jayda and Summerbreeze we played tag.

Kia ora everybody,We are now back in school.My first day was awesome because I was waiting to see all the teachers and my friends.My holidays were alright but I was looking forward to coming back to school for the whole term.My goal this term will be writing, langauge, reading and handwriting.

What I enjoyed learning about yesterday was when we were learning what the job of the sun and the roots were.We had to write down in our kaupapa book what the job of the sun and the roots were.Koka Vickie told us to do the job of the leaves too.Koka Vicki wrote the jobs of the leaves, roots and the sun up on the whiteboard most of the class copied the board.Everyone finished writing what we had to do.We had to get it checked off my Koka Vickie.When she finished checking it off you had to put your book into the kaupapa bin.When the bell rang Koka Vickie told us to put our chairs up and go home I took a banana home with me.

This morning Logan asked me if I would like to help her plant two tomato plants.We started to plant the tomatoe's in front of our classroom.The steps that we had to do was to dig a hole so we can put the tomato plants in.We covered it well and watered it.When Logan and I had finished planting tomatoe's Brodie and I took all the weeds out of our buckets and where we planted our tomatos.Then Breodie said that it looks nice and clean around our tomatoe's now without the weeds.After we took all the weeds out we threw them in the rubbish.When we finished putting the weeds in the rubbish we watered our tomatos and our riwai.Then the bell rang so we went into class.

On Saturday I helped my mum move all the things of ours from Amys house to our house.We had time to put everything away so when my dad got back from work it would not be a mess.When my dad got home it was clean and we were watching t.v in the sittingroom we were watching Ben 10 dvds.

Yesterday I learnt about more maths questions about multiplications, division and subtraction.We had to chose a partner to do maths questions with.I chose Ana she is a girl from my own class room.

Last Friday my class and I made a Ambroisa we were taught howto make Ambroisa.Koka Vicki Roroa put us into groups some to cut the bananas and applesand two people had to wipe the tables.Then Koka Vicki came around handing out bowls but she gave Neha, Hayden and I a bowl, a copping board and three knives.Then the people who were told to cut the apples and the bananas had to start cutting.

Yesterday the whole chass had to make a flow chart about our riwai.The first thing we had to do when we got our paper , was to do a two cm border.We had to do our title.We could write Growing my riwai or My riwai in a bucket or else we could write our own title.Next thing we had to do, were the steps on how we grew our riwai using pictures.When we had finished drawing the pictures we put arrows to show how each step went.When we finished , we had to write statements for each picture about what we did I wrote 6 statement.

Yesterday after school Eia, Korey, and I went sponsoring.Eia tricked me and said that he didn't have mine.When he got heaps of money he gave me my sponsor sheet.I was angry when he did that.I got some money off Mr Hockings, Koka Hoana, Aunty Missy, Scarry and Grant.Most of them gave me $2 and $5.When I counted up all my money I had $28 but Eia got $37.That was pretty stuipid.I never thought Josh would give Eia $2.I didn't want to get money of him because he just finished working for an hour.Jason's dad was the best because he gave Eia, kory and I $5 each.We were taking turns with people because if we all went up to 1 person the price would be less

It was called The Magic Monkey, lost in a cave and the Ghost of the Ruddock mansion.When I read my story to her about The Magic Monkey she got confused because there was words all over the place. After school the bell rang I stayed at school and carried on with my work.I went home and did my home work I used ten words in my note book.

When I went to get changed I watched tvand then I walked to school.When the bell rang I put my bag on the hook,and I went to class. I learnt how to use the words is and were properly.When we all heard the bell ring we went to mornning tea.I played patter tennis with Koka Sam and the room 6 class. It was fun. After that I went up to the library to finish our plan and to start our 3D village model.

In my group was Llyria, Hayden, Paige, Rakaia, Eia and I.
Eia wasn't here.We had to gather all our pieces for our model.
After gathering stuff we started designing our model.
We copied our planning on our planning sheet.
Paige and I went away to the conner and we made a warehouse for our model.

Yesterday morning mum and I had dropped my dad off at work up in Gisborne.
My brother in-law rang us to tell us that my sister was in the hospital.
I was so afraid that she was going to die in the operation.
She has 3 holes on her stomach.
They were stitched up but I haven't seen them yet.
I wasn't allowed to go to the hospital because I had the flu and mum said I would catch a lot of germs.
So I stayed home with my nephew Impalar and my brother Ihaka.
We were waiting and waiting for my mum to come back from the hospital.
Mum came back and told us that Saffron is out of the hospital and at her house.
So Impalar went home.
Ihaka,Mum and I went to WoolWorths and we brought muffins,chocolate, buns,a magazine and milk for her.
After WoolWorths we went to see her and she felt better.

Yesterday morning I came to school with a bad cough.
After lunch time the Teina class and the Tuakana class went up to the library to make a 3D model of Tokomaru Bay.
First we had to plan it on a piece of paper.
My group had to figure out who was getting what and we had a list for what we needed for our model.
Llyria had to get glitter and coloured paper.
I had to get only little rocks.Hayden had to get cardboard,Rakaia had to get tin foil and Paige had to get nothing.
After we had to find a box.We found one box in the back room.
There were lots of boxes in the back room.
I went to get some little rocks while Hayden and Rakaia got some branches.

I am nearly done.
The fun part was drawing the place where you can have a picnic in Tokomaru Bay.I drew me on Marotiri hill with a camera.
After scool I went to netball training.It was so cool.
I like netball training its cool and I like playing netball on the court in Gisborne.

After our run we had lunch I had a yummy pie.
After my pie my class got given a rainbow paddle pop it was yummy.
When the lunch bell rang the Teina and yhe Tuakana class went up to the library for our Environment study.

After we did our learning Intention my group went on the computers to do Jelly Muffin.

Yesterday morning I caught the flu because it was very cold and my nose was cold too.It was turning red and it was so sore.I wanted to come to school but mum said I had to stay home.
Aunty Joy and Aunty Tina came over to see if I was alright.
Aunty Tina and Paku stayed.Aunty Tina took mum and I to Ruatoria.
That was the first time at Ruatoria in my whole life. I wanted to come back to school because I knew I would miss out on fun stuff.
KokaVickie was so beautiful because when I wasn't at school she didnt buy Ice-cream because I wasn't there.

Yesterday after school I went to netball training. I had fun. We played two games I forgot what the games were called.
We practiced netball. I was goal keep. I was with Paige, Kathryn, Jayda and I were defenders. I think we had a good practice. After netball practice.18/6/09Yesterday I did a Cars book.
It was about nightmares.I learnt how to do a cars book.
For the last two or three weeks we have been learning about Advertisments.
Koka Vickie split the whole class into groups.The whole class had to do a Pakiwaitara advertisment.There were 4 groups.In my group was Kathryn, Destiny, Paige and I.We are learning to sell our cd to families who want to learn about Pakiwaitara.

On Saturday I went to papa Sam's tangi. The tangi was at Te Ariuru marae.
I was very sad.
I think he died at Te Puia hospital.
When I arrived at Te Ariuru Marae I saw nanny Black, Christian, Aunty Makere, Uncle Calvin, Aunty Jade, Uncle Lez and Minki. I was surprised to see them because I havn't seen them for a while.
My mum, my dad, Richard and my sister Saffron were helping out with the cooking. Dad and Richard were doing the hangi and chopping the meat up.
My mum and my sister were helping out in the kitchen.
I had to baby sit my sisters baby Impalar. I took him on the playground at the kohanga.

On Saturday I went to Gisborne to play netball.
It was my first netball game on the court in my whole life.
In our team was Brodie,Destiny,Malina, Pou, Ariana and I who played netball.
We faced Central school. I think we had five goals and they had eight goals.
I was center. Ariana tripped up a girl by accident and she fell in a puddle.
While I was playing netball Richard,Saffron and Impalar came to watch my game.
After my game was finished my sister said I was doing great and then my dad showed up.
He missed my game and he promised not to miss my next game.
Later on my sister and dad brought me some lunch.

I had a very good holiday. I am really looking foward to term two.

Yesterday I went to school. At lunch time I did my garden desigh drawing with Llyria. Llyria,Briar and samantha said my picture looks awsome but their picture was terrific. Before I came into class at lunch time I had a delicous mince and chesse pie it was yummy . later on the bell rang and KokaViki asked the class to go onto the mat with our picture's. The class looked at everyone's picture. I really like Llyria and Hayden's picture's it looks fantastic.

Yesterday I was in Gisborne . My mum and I stayed with my dad in the weekend.Mum and I were still in bed and dad went to work.Next minute my sister,Richard and Impalar came over with some breakfast. Later mum and I went to town. First we went to pak'n save to buy some grocery.And then we went to the two dollar shop and mum and I brought some felts,coloring in pencils and toe socks.Then we went to seemy sister but she druve pass us so I went with my sister to china palce to get something to eat after that we went back to my sister house.

Yesterday we went to gisborne tairawhiti museum. The whole school met some koka's that work there. There was Koka Jen and Koka Gail .
Later we went to meet a man called Nick.
He does ta-moko. He was doing a ta-moko on a man called Shanon. Then we did some roleplay's. It was funny. I liked my day yesterday.We had lunch under a big tree. When we went back inside koka Gail showed us some garden stuff that the Maori used back in the day. They used a waowao, a ko and a timo for the garden and yeah I thought it was amazing there

Yesterday morning I came to school with a bad cough.
After lunch time the Teina class and the Tuakana class went up to the library to make a 3D model of Tokomaru Bay.
First we had to plan it on a piece of paper.
My group had to figure out who was getting what and we had a list for what we needed for our model.
Llyria had to get glitter and coloured paper.
I had to get only little rocks.Hayden had to get cardboard,Rakaia had to get tin foil and Paige had to get nothing.
After we had to find a box.We found one box in the back room.
There were lots of boxes in the back room.
I went to get some little rocks while Hayden and Rakaia got some branches.

I am nearly done.
The fun part was drawing the place where you can have a picnic in Tokomaru Bay.I drew me on Marotiri hill with a camera.
After scool I went to netball training.It was so cool.
I like netball training its cool and I like playing netball on the court in Gisborne.

Yesterday before lunch we went for our run.
After our run we had lunch I had a yummy pie.
After my pie my class got given a rainbow paddle pop it was yummy.
When the lunch bell rang the Teina and yhe Tuakana class went up to the library for our Environment study.
My group did the Environment learning intention.
After we did our learning Intention my group went on the computers to do Jelly Muffin.
Our tittle was called The Environment.

Yesterday morning I caught the flu because it was very cold and my nose was cold too.It was turning red and it was so sore.I wanted to come to school but mum said I had to stay home.
Aunty Joy and Aunty Tina came over to see if I was alright.
Aunty Tina and Paku stayed.Aunty Tina took mum and I to Ruatoria.
That was the first time at Ruatoria in my whole life. I wanted to come back to school because I knew I would miss out on fun stuff.
KokaVickie was so beautiful because when I wasn't at school she didnt buy Ice-cream because I wasn't there.

Yesterday after school I went to netball training. I had fun. We played two games I forgot what the games were called.
We practiced netball. I was goal keep. I was with Paige, Kathryn, Jayda and I were defenders. I think we had a good practice. After netball practice.18/6/09Yesterday I did a Cars book.
It was about nightmares.I learnt how to do a cars book.
For the last two or three weeks we have been learning about Advertisments.
Koka Vickie split the whole class into groups.The whole class had to do a Pakiwaitara advertisment.There were 4 groups.In my group was Kathryn, Destiny, Paige and I.We are learning to sell our cd to families who want to learn about Pakiwaitara.

On Saturday I went to papa Sam's tangi. The tangi was at Te Ariuru marae.
I was very sad.
I think he died at Te Puia hospital.
When I arrived at Te Ariuru Marae I saw nanny Black, Christian, Aunty Makere, Uncle Calvin, Aunty Jade, Uncle Lez and Minki. I was surprised to see them because I havn't seen them for a while.
My mum, my dad, Richard and my sister Saffron were helping out with the cooking. Dad and Richard were doing the hangi and chopping the meat up.
My mum and my sister were helping out in the kitchen.
I had to baby sit my sisters baby Impalar. I took him on the playground at the kohanga.

On Saturday I went to Gisborne to play netball.
It was my first netball game on the court in my whole life.
In our team was Brodie,Destiny,Malina, Pou, Ariana and I who played netball.
We faced Central school. I think we had five goals and they had eight goals.
I was center. Ariana tripped up a girl by accident and she fell in a puddle.
While I was playing netball Richard,Saffron and Impalar came to watch my game.
After my game was finished my sister said I was doing great and then my dad showed up.
He missed my game and he promised not to miss my next game.
Later on my sister and dad brought me some lunch.

Kia ora everyone well we are all back at school now.
I had a very good holiday. I am really looking foward to term two.
My goal this term will be that I have to stick my head in my maths and do good in all of my work and try my hardest to be rewarded and practice my maths and I have to start reading a lot of books and do well this year.

Yesterday I went to school. At lunch time I did my garden desigh drawing with Llyria. Llyria,Briar and samantha said my picture looks awsome but their picture was terrific. Before I came into class at lunch time I had a delicous mince and chesse pie it was yummy . later on the bell rang and KokaViki asked the class to go onto the mat with our picture's. The class looked at everyone's picture. I really like Llyria and Hayden's picture's it looks fantastic.

Yesterday I was in Gisborne . My mum and I stayed with my dad in the weekend.Mum and I were still in bed and dad went to work.Next minute my sister,Richard and Impalar came over with some breakfast. Later mum and I went to town. First we went to pak'n save to buy some grocery.And then we went to the two dollar shop and mum and I brought some felts,coloring in pencils and toe socks.Then we went to seemy sister but she druve pass us so I went with my sister to china palce to get something to eat after that we went back to my sister house.

Yesterday we went to gisborne tairawhiti museum. The whole school met some koka's that work there. There was Koka Jen and Koka Gail .
Later we went to meet a man called Nick.
He does ta-moko. He was doing a ta-moko on a man called Shanon. Then we did some roleplay's. It was funny. I liked my day yesterday.We had lunch under a big tree. When we went back inside koka Gail showed us some garden stuff that the Maori used back in the day. They used a waowao, a ko and a timo for the garden and yeah I thought it was amazing there

Tokomaru bay is a beautiful town with lots of friends and families. A great view big wide ocean in front of it. Rainbows shining over the ocean with their beautiful colours.

Two weeks ago, on Thursday it was the last day of school. I was not here, unfortunately I had gone to Tolaga for a few days with my cousins. We went floundering along the river side. We caught at least 23 flounders. When we got back home we cleaned them up. A few days later I went to Gisborne to stay at my mum and dads house along Wainui road. We were only visiting them. After four hours we went back to Tolaga and from there my cousins took me back to Toko to get ready for school.

Today it was a pretty cool day we all played sports like skipping, rugby, bat down and all of does kind of stuff. After school today some of the year eight and seven students are going to the kura to practice basket ball so that we can be ready for the game in heruharama.

A taumata resembles a human figure. It guards and protects the crops. The taumata was placedin front of the crop and was given the first grown fruit or vegetable's of the season so that it would continue to protect the crops. The pukeko was a predator to the maori crops just like a scare crow to pakeha gardens. The awhero is a large caterpillar that also ate the crops.

Yesterday after school Wiki and I were walking home and I heard a paper kind of sound. I had a look in my bag and there was some money in there. We stopped at the four square and we got our selves a ice block and a drink. When we got home I went for a swim. Wiki was not allowed. I saw Beau, Isaac, Kahu, Sam, and Brook and we all got together and went for a surf across the road from Kahu's house. I saw Sam's little brother Taina so I went to go and play with him we found this mud wall and played over there. Beau and Kahu were both chucking mud at me and I had no help so I ran home. When I got home I started to do my home work and I finished it in half an hour. Then I went to sleep so I could get up early for school.

In a small town called Tokomaru Bay there is a huge mountain called Marotiri.It is big beautiful and green.It has lots of animals like big brown Horses, big goats with big horns, black and white cows, fluffy sheep, and big fat juicy boars.The sun shines bright in this small mysterious town and especially shines bright over Marotiri.Illustrator Drummond Raroa.

During the school holidays my mum Vanessa and my brother Sione came, but only for the first week. It was not only exciting for me, but for them as well because my brother had never been to Tokomaru bay before. When they had turned up with my uncle Tommy I was so happy. I hadn’t seen them for such a long time.Every day my brother and I would go for a swim, and go down Waima to see my cousin Tihei. We also went to see my uncle Waka at the cemetery by Te Ariuru Marae. Every night we would play the play station 2.One morning my Nan and I took my mum and brother to Tolaga Bay to stay at my Cousin Shannon’s house. We ended up taking them back to Gisborne because they felt like they weren’t welcome to stay. After we got them home my Nan and I went back to Tokomaru Bay.

Friday the 6th March. It was a pretty cloudy day and it wasn’t that sunny.In the afternoon three students were chosen to go eeling with Joe Chaffey, Mikaira’s dad. Luckily, I was one of the students chosen to go eeling.We went on the two four wheelers. Isaiah and Irihia were on Mikairas four wheeler and I went with Joe on his 4 wheeler. We went off the road, into the muddy hills and through the rocky rivers. I was so terrified.We arrived at a mysterious, creepy old pond and we chucked the hinaki in. We tied it to a piece of log that looked like it was going to snap. We also did the same with the other hinaki, only this time we knew the log was going to snap.We headed back through the rivers and over the hills back onto the road and traveled back to Joe’s house through the fog and rain.

Families come to together for Christmas and open up presents around the brightly decorated Christmas tree.Christmas is a time that brings joy and fun to everyone.Some people on Christmas sing happily around the x-mas tree.The delicious striped candy cane hanging from the tree and stockings are filled with lollies.Bright lights and decorations on houses light up the streets on Christmasnight.

When ngatoro-i-rangi first arrived to Aotearoa he tried to clam the lands of Tuwharetoa, he was also a navigator of a canoe called Te arawa. His name echo’s in the sky and was also copied by the power of a tohunga. His power was also to echo the thunders across the heavens. It is said that he could speak the language of the stars. He knows when it’s the safes time to travel over seas he knew the directions of were he needed to go by looking at the fish out sea, and looking at the birds and the dolphins at night time.He knew that the voyages south of hawaiki were carried out between December and March. Ngatoro-i-rangi knew the lands would be at least 60 kilometers long. Ngatoro-i-rangi learnt from kupe that he had to travel left to get to Aotearoa. Just about every February the Corse going to Aotearoa was in the lining of Venus.Tama-tekupue had a fair idea that Ngatoro-i-rangi was the navigator of the Te arawa canoe, as Ngatoro-i-rangis canoe was about to swirl around into a spinning whirl pool he called out to the gods to ask for help them to calm the storm down.

An exciting time for me was when I moved to Tokomaru bay. I got to experience lotsOf things that are different to town. When I first moved here I didn’t have lots of friend’s but once I started school I got to meet lots of people and before I knew it I had heaps of friend’s. Things were different from Gisborne here people always go hunting; fishing and all of do all kinds of stuff. You always see your family or friend go past because it’s such a small place and not that many people live in Tokomaru bay.I would like to move back to town but I would prefer to live here.

February is the time to prepare for winter crops and vegetable patches. Saw carrots, parsnips, beetroot, spinach, peas, cauliflower and cabbage. Build up the soil first with peat, compost, thrive lime for calcium and thrive all purpose for an even balance of plant food. Continue taking laterals off your tomatoes and harvesting ripe tomatoes making sure to remove any fallen or diseased fruit to prevent disease spreading.Side dress all winter maturing vegetables with thrive all purpose.Lift early crops of potatoes when the tops die off. Make sure they are properlyDried before storing, Lift Dry and store garlic, shallots and onions hang.Up in side to ripen before cleaning and storing.My top seven choices to grow in winter are coriander., pak, choi, perennialSpinach (silver beet with green steams), red kale cos lettuce, spring onions and rocket.They wont grow very fast but they wont go to seed either, witch can be a problem with these crops in the warmer weather .pests such as cabbage white butter flies and aphids aren’t al thought slugs and snailscan take their toll. Get them started from seed in april and may if you can or buy.

On a cold Saturday morning I arrived at school with Daianne, who had picked me up from my house.When we arrived at school our Kapahaka Group got ready to go to the Tamararo. I was feeling good about the performance that we were going to give. Unfortunately Nan was not able to come and watch me perform.When we were all dressed we then traveled by cars and vans to the tamararo festival which was held at the Gisborne show-grounds.When we arrived there it was our turn to go on stage. We were third on. After we finished our performance we stayed to watch Taonga Tuturu perform. I thought they were really good.When they had finished we did a haka tautoko for them and then Koka Stacy gave out our tickets so we could watch the other kapahaka groups.We left the venue and went back to to our tent to get changed but before we did we had a photo’s taken with Taonga Tuturu and Waipiro.After I got changed Jason, Isaac, Uncle Joe and I went to McDonald’s to get a feed. After we finished we went to the warehouse so Uncle Joe could buy him some beer and then we headed back to Tokomaru Bay.I enjoyed my day doing Kapa Haka and even though we came third I thought we did OK.

In the capital city of Kawasaki, there lived a young man called Jack Henderson. He was a brilliant boy he had the mind of a genius.Jack was making an unusual type of machine; he was making a vortex machine. It could open up any porthole to any planet and any galaxy. He worked on this machine for months.One day Jack was putting the finishing touches onto his creation, and then something went wrong.The vortex machine started going crazy and started destroying things that were in its path the vortex machine wasn’t working as planned.Poor young Jack got sucked into the vortex and ended up in a parallel universe. He woke up in the middle of the road, every body started to surround him. Every where he looked there were bungalow houses every body had chains sticks and brass knuckles on there hands. The parallel people of this universe tried to kill Jack but he managed to get away.Jack saw people hiding in a under ground compartment, which the greengrocer use to own. Jack was exhausted from making his vortex machine and running away from the people of his town. Without government authority in control everybody was free to do what they wanted. They were holding the government in a containment block. Jack was planning to save everybody from this terror. In order for Jack to do so he needed to be very careful because there were guards watching every corner of the containment block.Jacks guilt was getting the better of him as he was unable to think of a way to save the government from the terror which had been imposed on them.Suddenly he had a thought and created a teleporting laser gun within a couple hours he was teleporting the government out of the containment block and out to safety.Once everyone was safe Jack needed some equipment to make him a machine so he could return home.The government was only too happy to help Jack as he helped to restore justice for the government and for the people of the parallel universe of Kawasaki.19.11.09Years ago in Tokomaru bay there lived a person called Tautini and he lived up on a maunga called Toiroa.He bribed all of the children to come up the hill so that he could fatten them up and chucked them of the cliff, he would order the others to go and get the child then he would cook the child up and eat them.It turned out he had killed a son of a chief, but the other children managed to escape and tell the chief that Tautini had killed his son; he walked up the hill and chopped of Tautini’s head.Te Aotawarirangi found out what happened to her farther, she ran up Toiroa and asked for her father’s head with courage.Te Aotawarirangi ran all the way to Te Araroa to tell her brother that there father had been killed. Along the way as they traveled from town to town they killed every one except for one town Tokomaru bay.They did not kill them because the people of Tokomaru bay had preformed a good Kapa haka performance.They joined Te Aotawarirangi and her brother Tu terangikatipu to fight the chief Tu temangarewa and his tribe, but unfortunately Te Aotawarirangi and her brother’s tribe won.19.11.09In the weekend my brother Jonathan and older cousins came to bring the x box 360 to wiki’s house so I could play it. I wasn’t so board any more and didn’t have to go and play in the short cut. I’m also glad that Tihei wiki’s older brother is back.

Along the way as they traveled from town to town they killed every one except for one town Tokomaru bay.They did not kill them because the people of Tokomaru bay had preformed a good Kapa haka performance.They joined Te Aotawarirangi and her brother Tu terangikatipu to fight the chief Tu temangarewa and his tribe, but unfortunately Te Aotawarirangi and her brother’s tribe won.19.11.09In the weekend my brother Jonathan and older cousins came to bring the x box 360 to wiki’s house so I could play it. I wasn’t so board any more and didn’t have to go and play in the short cut. I’m also glad that Tihei wiki’s older brother is back.
